By now, we hope you have heard about the recent creation of the Alabama Construction Recruitment Institute and our efforts to recruit young people to skilled construction trade jobs. We are looking forward to an exciting launch of our marketing and advertising campaign just in time for Labor Day.
As part of our campaign launch, we are working with the state’s major daily newspapers on a special section to be distributed in the Birmingham News, Huntsville Times, Mobile Press Register and Montgomery Advertiser on September 5, the Sunday before Labor Day.
Through our partnership with the Birmingham News, we will be writing the content for this section, and the News’ sales staff will be selling advertising to support the cost of printing the special insert. We expect major industry supply companies, two-year colleges and even car dealerships and others to place ads in this section.
We know that you are already providing support to ACRI, but we certainly wanted you to be aware of this before it shows up on your lawn. If you are interested in advertising in this section to support your own recruiting efforts, we would certainly welcome your involvement and will be happy to put you in touch with the sales staff at the Birmingham News.
