CRAFT TRAINING

Construction Craft Training Courses Currently Offered:

The Construction Education Foundation of Alabama (CEFA) was conceived in 2001 by the leadership of the Alabama Chapter - Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC), Alabama Concrete Industries Association (ACIA), and Alabama Branch - Associated General Contractors (AGC) with the idea to consolidate each of their training programs into one in order to provide unified, accredited craft training for the State of Alabama. These plans came to fruition in May 2002 when CEFA was "born."

CEFA has been accredited through the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER), U.S. Dept of Labor Bureau of Apprenticeship and Training (BAT) certified and Veteran's Administration (VA) approved. 's craft training program offers classroom and hands-on laboratory training for apprentice craft workers in the fields of Carpentry, Electrical, Heavy Equipment Operator, Heating Ventilation & Air Conditioning (HVAC), Masonry, Plumbing, and Sheet Metal. All training is conducted with NCCER Certified Instructors. Additional craft programs are planned as well as seminar based training.
